L.A. Noire, again

I promised a few pointers on noir, to introduce the newcomers fresh from Rockstar Game's brand new smash hit, L.A. Noire. Just a quick note today, on attitude. It doesn't take a film student to notice that main characters in noir films usually have a certain attitude to them. We call it tragic, fated, and melancholy. You can almost guarantee that the protagonist of a noir story isn't going to end well. Which doesn't bode well for you as you maneuver the game, but should at least lend a certain legitimacy to the experience if you happen to get ousted early on by an unsuspected mobster or a femme fatale playing fast and loose with a .45.
